Heath StreatDirector of Golf / AAA rated Golf Professional
Heath has played tournament golf around Australia and in the United States. He now focuses on the running of the Golf Shop, as well as coaching his pupils and is a professional club fitter.
He began his career as a touring professional travelling and playing around Australia and in the United States of America. With moderate success and a few wins in Australia, he felt the need to help others with their golf, as he had seen many amateur golfers struggle to play the game.
As the Director of Golf at the Box Hill Golf Club, Heath manages the day to day operations of the Pro Shop, tournaments and corporate golf days held at Box Hill. Being a qualified AAA Teaching Professional he enjoys watching his students progress into golfers who enjoy playing golf. With a very simple teaching model, he is very easy to understand and finds simplicity a key to helping players make a quick improvement.Heath is also a qualified club fitter with the ability to help people understand how correct equipment can make a huge impact on their game. James WoiteAssistant Director of Golf / AAA rated Golf Professional
James is a AAA rated PGA member with an outstanding coaching resume and is also a great club fitter. James will be in charge of corporate days as well as club competitions and club fitting at Box Hill. James has been working in the golf industry since December 1999. He has a passion for golf and helping other golfers achieve their potential.
James excelled academically in his traineeship, coming 3rd in the Australian Trainee of the Year award in the final year of his traineeship in 2005. James has experienced using the latest technology in coaching, using the K Vest and the latest launch monitor technology to improve golf swings of his clients.
He is also a qualified club fitter for companies such as Titleist, Callaway and HG. James uses the coaching philosophy of keeping the golf swing simple and using the player’s natural strengths to improve their score. He has experience of coaching golfers of all ability, from beginners to professional. If you would like to improve your golf game, please contact James to see immediate improvement.
James HullTeaching Professional
James first picked up a club at the age of 7 and by 8 was hooked. Within another year he was a member of his local club and playing for his county from 12 through to 18 when he went off to university. He was a member of the Southampton University team that made the national semi-finals in 1997.
James worked in finance for a few years before deciding to train as a British PGA golf coach. As an assistant, he trained under some of the best coaches in the UK at Worplesdon Golf Club, learning from differing styles and approaches to coaching. From here he moved to Mount Pleasant Golf Club and was soon appointed as Head Professional after completing the PGA qualification where he remained until moving to Australia.
James’ focus is on coaching, whether with the juniors, ladies or men, and enjoys the diversity of challenges that each pupil brings to him.
His coaching ethos is to be honest, realistic and keeping it simple. He tries to ensure that each player goes away from each lesson understanding what they need to do to improve, as well as why. With a greater understanding of his clients, he aims to make sure that all players enjoy the game of golf as much as possible. He is also a qualified club-fitter and believes that having the correct equipment is essential to making the most of your game.
Peter DixonProshop Staff
Peter has been with us for 11 years and is a fixture in the shop as most know him for his manicured moustache. Peter works part time ad handles all day to day enquiries for members and guests as well as assisting new members to the Club, helping them through the first few weeks of their membership.

Jess is currently completing her PGA Traineeship and hopes to make a career from coaching once finished. Jess is a New Zealander and enjoyed representing her Club and District in major competitions throughout New Zealand. Jess is employed full time and is juggling studying and work commitments as well as keeping her golf to a high standard to compete in Monday Trainee events.
Jess is now available for coaching at Box Hill and looks forward to helping members and guests improve their golf and enjoy the game.
